Inspired Revelation

The Bible is one coherent set of 66 writings that tells a narrative story from Genesis to Revelation. The story is anchored in God’s redemptive plan.

  1. The Text

    What God has written

An open Bible on a table, lit by rays of light from above.

The 66 books of the Bible, the written words God inspired, preserved, and trustworthy.

“Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness…”

  2. The Story

    God’s unfolding narrative

A crowd of travelers on a winding road toward a walled city, hills and a river behind them.

The Bible’s one narrative from Creation to New Creation: God’s plan to redeem His people and restore all things.

“…these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.”

  3. The Message

    God’s truth for His people

A cross on a hill against a glowing sky, with a crown at its foot.

What the story says about God: His character, His promises, His redemption, and His call to faith, repentance, and obedience.

“For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

  4. The Meaning

    God’s purpose for our lives

People walking along a paved road between trees toward a bright, distant city.

What the message means for our lives today: how to live in light of eternity, for God’s glory and our good.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.”

The Text tells the Story. The Story reveals the Message and the Message defines the Meaning.
